September is Hunger Action Month

All across the country, communities are coming together in September to take a stand against hunger — and here in Allen County, Humanity House Foundation invites you to be part of that effort. Hunger affects too many of our neighbors, from children and families to seniors on fixed incomes. This month, we encourage you to wear orange, the color of hunger awareness, to show your support. Even more, take action: volunteer with us, donate pantry staples to stock our shelves, or make a financial gift — so together we can ensure no neighbor in Allen County goes hungry.

National Hunger Action Day

National Hunger Action Day

Today is National Hunger Action Day—a day when people across the country come together to raise awareness about food insecurity and take action to fight hunger in their communities. Hunger is closer to home than many realize, and this day serves as a reminder that small actions can make a big impact.

We encourage you to show your support by wearing orange, the color of hunger awareness, and by taking part in meaningful action. You can volunteer your time at today’s food truck delivery, lend a hand at a pantry, donate pantry staples or provide a financial gift—together we can make sure no child or neighbor in our community goes without food.
