Volunteer With Us
At Humanity House Foundation, we believe the fight against food insecurity and poverty takes all of us. Your time, compassion, and willingness to help can make a meaningful difference for individuals and families across Allen County.
Ways to Get Involved
Volunteer Your Time
From helping in our food pantry to assisting with community events or administrative tasks, your time is one of the most valuable gifts you can give. Volunteers help us ensure no one in our community goes hungry—and that every visitor feels welcomed and supported.
Donate Protein or Pantry Staples
We’re always in need of shelf-stable protein options like:
Canned tuna, chicken, or salmon
Peanut butter (small jars)
Ground beef or pork (frozen or fresh)
Donations can be dropped off at Humanity House, or you can make a financial gift to help us purchase fresh, high-quality food for families who need it most. Every contribution—big or small—helps keep shelves stocked and stomachs full.
Donate Clothing or Volunteer with SUCCEED
Do you have gently used professional or work clothing to donate? Your contribution can help someone feel confident and prepared for a job interview or new opportunity. Our SUCCEED program provides free professional attire, resume support, and job readiness guidance to individuals seeking employment. If you’d like to donate clothing or volunteer your time to support job seekers, give us a call at (620) 380-6664—your generosity can help someone take the next step forward.
Be a Community Role Model
You don’t need to be an expert to make an impact. If you’ve overcome challenges, built a career, managed a household, or simply have a heart for helping others, you can be a role model for someone finding their footing.
Role models:
Help individuals break challenges into manageable steps
Connect people to local resources like job training or housing
Offer encouragement without judgment
Provide a listening ear during tough moments
Being a role model isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about showing up and letting someone know they’re not alone.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
As the need continues to grow, so does our commitment to serve. With your help, we can continue advocating for food access, offering connection and care, and building a stronger, more compassionate community—one volunteer, one meal, and one relationship at a time.
