Our Story

Humanity House Foundation began with a simple but powerful moment in 2016. During a Santa’s Toy Shop event organized by founder Tracy Call, a young boy struggled to choose a gift. When asked what he wanted most, he quietly replied, “All I want for Christmas is food in my house.” That one sentence changed everything. Tracy knew she had to take action to support children, families, and seniors facing hunger in her own community.

As she researched local needs through an organization she belonged to, Tracy discovered that food, utility, and housing assistance were the most requested forms of help in Allen County, Kansas. With the support of Georgia Masterson, Humanity House was born.

Tracy served as Executive Director until her retirement in June 2023, while Georgia took on the role of Board Treasurer and continued to oversee daily operations. Together, they built Humanity House from the ground up.

In February 2024, Barbara Button joined the team as the new Executive Director, continuing the mission with dedication and compassion.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, volunteers, and our incredible community, Humanity House Foundation has helped hundreds of individuals and families stay in their homes, keep the lights on, and put food on their tables.
